Northern lights shader component built for Framer. It combines liquid physics, shader-driven color, and responds to your hover/click/tap.

About this component

Meet Norrsken, a high-performance aurora borealis component built for Framer. It combines liquid physics, shader-driven color, and responds to your hover/click/tap.

Inspired by the northern lights, Norrsken renders flowing ribbons that react to motion with physics, subtle shimmer, and organic diffusion. It behaves like a living surface rather than a simple hover effect. Ideal for immersive hero backgrounds.

The simulation runs on a GPU-driven feedback loop using WebGL, allowing smooth motion, realistic inertia, and evolving patterns even when idle.

Features

• Aurora-style ribbons with real-time fluid simulation

• Adapts to your hover/click/tap

• Idle motion with evolving patterns

• Optional dynamic color cycling

• Ripple interactions for subtle tactile feedback

• Fully customizable through property controls (viscosity, force, shimmer, sharpness, complexity, fade, noise and more)
